At INDG we're looking for a 3D Technical Director, who will be at the forefront of our creative process, collaborating closely with artists, technical experts, and 3D Technical Director. Your primary focus will be to shape, refine, and enhance our workflow, pipeline, and industry best practices within Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools. This involves not only optimizing existing processes but also innovating by developing new tools and utilities that extend the capabilities of our DCC toolkit.

Job requirements

What will you be doing?

  • Engage in hands-on scripting and technical tool development to streamline and elevate the team's workflow.
  • Uphold and enhance pipelines and workflows to ensure art teams can operate effectively, efficiently, and with ease.
  • Guide and mentor artists, fostering their professional growth while overseeing the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for artists and crafting technical documentation.
  • Continuously assess and refine artist data, including assets, props, textures, materials, characters, etc., and the associated production pipeline.
  • Integrate various DCC tools and systems into cohesive pipelines spanning from content creation to final delivery.
  • Design user interfaces, both desktop and web-based, to interact with and oversee our Automation Systems.
  • Strategize and implement improvements to the Technical Art development processes, introducing fresh approaches and methodologies.
  • Contribute to technical documentation to ensure comprehensive understanding and accessibility


Would be amazing if you have:

  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Background in 3D Art processes and asset creation: CAD Data processing, modelling, shading, lighting and rendering.
  • Strong 3D Technical knowledge. Specially focus on optimization and performance.
  • Experience in content at scale rendering projects.
  • Curiosity-driven mindset, comfortable with exploring new frameworks and tooling possibilities.
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Experience thriving in collaborative environments, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with 3Ds Max Python Scripting framework.
  • Experience with 3Ds Max and Vray.
  • Knowledge of real-time graphics development, particularly within Unreal Engine.
  • Experience in Automotive projects.
  • Familiarity with WebGL platforms such as Sketchfab or ThreeJS.
