Job requirements

What will you be doing?

  • Take images of new products and seamlessly integrate them into existing photographed scenes - meaning you will retouch products (bottles, cans) to make them look real alongside the models or objects in the photograph

  • Retouch the photograph to allow space for the new product to fit in. This can include removing the old product as well as retouching the model's fingers/arms/hands to make the new product fit

  • Add reflections and shadows from nearby objects in the scene onto the new products

  • Colour grading, matching sharpness/blurriness, matching noise levels, and adjusting the size of the products

  • Follow our standardised method of working on the Photoshop files/layers so team members can easily work on the file too

Would be amazing if you have:

  • A background in product photography or similar and you understand what a technically good image is (lightning, compositing, etc).

  • Worked as a Retoucher and understand how to translate clients’ needs to our internal team.

  • Excellent Photoshop skills

  • A good understanding of lighting; i.e. how an object should reflect both the lights and other nearby objects, how it should cast shadows, how light travels through liquid, how a glass bottle should distort the objects behind it, etc. And to be able to look at a photograph and understand where the lights are coming from, their size, colour and the type of shadow they will cast

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Communication skills to discuss issues or potential improvements to the workflow

  • Fluency in English
