IT Support Engineer

  • Hybrid
    • Amsterdam, Netherlands

Job description

INDG builds visual production systems for global brands. Our work sits between CGI, 3D production, automation, and enterprise content operations. The systems behind that work need to be reliable every day: accounts must be correct, workstations must run, storage must be reachable, networks must behave, and creative teams must be able to render, review, edit, and ship without friction.

This role exists to own that day-to-day technical reality. You will support colleagues across Amsterdam, Romania, remote teams, and third-party partners, while helping modernise how IT operates across a hybrid on-premise and cloud-based environment.

You will work closely with our IT Manager in the Netherlands and our IT Manager in Romania. The team is lean, so this is not a narrow ticket-routing role. You will troubleshoot independently, make practical technical decisions, improve support flows, maintain documentation, and help keep the infrastructure behind AI-powered visual production in good shape.

What You Will Do

  • Own support across people, devices, and access
Resolve first-line and second-line support issues for on-site and remote employees, freelancers, and third-party partners. You will handle Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure / Entra ID, user accounts, groups, mailboxes, access rights, endpoint issues, and day-to-day troubleshooting across Windows and macOS.

  • Build a cleaner hardware and onboarding lifecycle
Set up laptops, production workstations, and supporting hardware for new joiners. Image, configure, repair, maintain, and track devices from request to retirement. You will own clean onboarding and offboarding so access, equipment, licences, and asset records stay accurate.

  • Support creative production systems
Work close to the software and infrastructure used by CGI, 3D, video, and audio teams. This may include supporting Adobe, Autodesk, shared storage, licence managers, render workstations, peripheral devices, and local production environments. You do not need to be a CG artist, but you should be comfortable understanding how technical issues affect creative output.

  • Improve IT operations, not just respond to tickets
Keep documentation current, improve runbooks, track assets and licences, manage IT purchasing from request to delivery, and identify recurring issues that should be automated, standardised, or removed. You will bring practical opinions on tooling, process, endpoint management, security hygiene, and support quality.

Job requirements

Who You Are

You are a hands-on IT generalist who can work across cloud services, local infrastructure, endpoint hardware, and creative production environments. You are comfortable solving incomplete problems without waiting for perfect instructions.

You Have

  • 2+ years in a comparable IT support, systems support, or workplace technology role.

  • You have solid administration experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, and Entra ID. You understand networking fundamentals, especially TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing basics, Wi-Fi behaviour, and how to isolate where a connection is failing.

  • You are confident supporting Windows and macOS. Linux does not intimidate you, and you are comfortable using the command line when it is the fastest way to understand or fix something. You know PC workstations, laptops, peripherals, and servers well enough to diagnose hardware issues rather than only replacing devices.

  • You are fluent in English. Dutch is useful, but not required.

You Think

Systems-first. A solved ticket is good; a repeated ticket that disappears because you fixed the underlying process is better.

You understand that IT support in a visual production company is not abstract. A licence issue can stop a render review. A storage problem can delay a delivery. A slow workstation can affect the quality of a creative decision. You care about the operational details behind that work.

Your Skills Are

Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure / Entra ID, Windows, macOS, basic Linux, TCP/IP networking, endpoint setup, hardware troubleshooting, account management, asset tracking, licence administration, documentation, and vendor coordination.

Nice to have: experience with dedicated or shared storage platforms, Adobe and Autodesk environments, creative software licensing, CG or video production workflows, SaaS platforms, render infrastructure, or hybrid office and cloud environments.

Why Join INDG

INDG has spent 20+ years building CGI, 3D, and visual production systems for global brands. Grip is our enterprise content orchestration platform, connecting AI workflows with production-grade visual output.

This role matters because IT is close to the work, not hidden behind it. You will support the machines, accounts, networks, and creative tools that allow teams to build digital twins, automate visual content, and deliver reliable brand assets at scale.
